Niar is a proximity chat. Your messages reach the people in your neighbourhood, around 485 metres away. It is anonymous: just a nickname, no name, no email and no phone number. Your exact location is never stored or shared.

If you have a problem with the app, want to report content, exercise your data rights or anything else, write to us:

We respond to content reports in under 24 hours. If you write to us about specific content, please include the author's nickname and the approximate time of the message: that is what we need to find it.

How to report and block from the app

Report a message: press and hold the message and choose Report. You can pick a reason with a single tap.
Report a zone background: open the zone background from the chat and tap Report this image.
Block someone: press and hold one of their messages and choose Block. You will stop seeing their messages in every zone. You can undo it in Settings → Blocked users.
Delete your account and data: Settings → Account → Delete my account and my data. It is immediate and cannot be undone.
